We work to ensure that learning is always promoted, all children are kept safe and Haven is a welcoming environment for all.
Assessment and Rating
In 2022 Haven Early Learning underwent Assessment and Rating and received an overall result of Exceeding the National Quality Standards.
This result highlights that Haven goes above what is expected in the national quality standards in at least 4 areas and ensures that exceeding practices are embedded in the services practices, critical reflection and engagement with families/ local community.
Child Safe Standards
Haven Early Learning is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people. Our service is dedicated to establishing expectations and organisational standards for all staff, volunteers and leaders that adhere and comply to both legislative and moral obligations including the Victorian Child Safe Standards (2022) and the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
Haven Early Learning creates an inclusive and culturally safe environment for all children and young people including Aboriginal children, culturally and/or linguistically diverse children, children with a disability, those who are unable to live at home and/or children/families from differing and gender diverse groups (LGBTQIA+)
Reconciliation Action Plan
Haven Early Learning acknowledges the traditional owners of the Bunurong Land in which we are on and pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
At Haven we are committed to acknowledging and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) outlines our vision and actions to promote relationships, respect and learning opportunities for all team members, children and families to build their awareness and understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples histories, culture and contributions.
